The Wholesale Fruit Company is one of the oldest established providoring businesses at the Brisbane Markets that deals exclusively with the food industry supplying fresh fruit and vegetables as healthy as daily processed new product, eggs and juices. We pride ourselves that the owner, Ian bested and family have been in the industry since 1984, where Ian began in the retail side of the industry owning three fruit shops and then progressing into wholesale, supplying other shops and businesses outside of Brisbane. Ian’s three daughters Jodie, Kellie and Natasha were all born into the industry and actively worked as young ladies in their family owned shops. Kellie decided to go her own way, forging a separate career of her own. Ian combined his wholesaling business with The Wholesale fruit Company in 1990 and in 2005 he bought the entire company and then began shaping the business into the firm debt release business it is today. With Jodie taking on the bookkeeping role in 2005 and Natasha joining packed time in 2007 in customer relations, The Wholesale Fruit Company has flourished with the touches only a dedicated family can increase to business. The business has key staff that has been very loyal to the business and has played a substantial role in its development. A combined experience in the industry of 80 years. Ian has also owned and operated fruit shops throughout his fruit and vegetable career. Ian has spent over 30 years in the fruit and vegetable industry which has enabled him to thrive key relationships with growers as healthy as the central Brisbane Market Community. He is now passing on his knowledge and experience to two of his daughters who are eager to remain running the family business for generations to come. Natasha bested started with the company in 2007 where she took on the reception and bookkeeping duties. She learned the day to day operations and implemented a lot of new systems into the business. She then moved into Customer Relations assisting our sales representative with aliasing and building a rapport with customers. Natasha is now the Sales Representative of the company and has built key relationships with chefs and business owners in the hospitality industry. She has also taken on the role of marketing, looking behind social media accounts and aliasing with customers meet to meet and via email. With almost ten years experience in the industry and growing up around fruit vegetables, Natasha has a very good understanding of the product and the hospitality industry. Jodie implemented fresh systems in the bookkeeping sector and has assisted with the growth of the business. As the business grew, Jodie took on the role of bookkeeping accounts fulltime and she now works remotely down on the Gold Coast where she is raising her family.
