Consultation and development of a new Strategic Plan (20172019) was undertaken during 2016 to enable continuity from the current strategic planning cycle for canoeing in Queensland. These are summarized visually under and yield the foundation of our strategic plan for paddle sports in Queensland. This is an ambitious set of outcomes to be achieved, and will rely on the collaborative efforts of QC, clubs and other key stakeholders. We will continue to consult, discuss and work with clubs, committees, stakeholders and partners to roll out the 20172019 strategic plan to ensure paddle sports in Queensland is in the best position to grow and prosper. To promote, promote and coordinate all levels and all types of paddle sport in Queensland. Greg is responsible for general management, organizational governance and QC staff to encourage the promotion, development and growth of paddle sport in Queensland. Greg has also worked extensively in events management, university sport and has work closely with State bodies, local associations and clubs in delivering education programs to assist volunteers improve the running of their clubs. Greg is passionate about sport and recreation the enjoyment, health benefits and sense of community it brings. Greg is actively involved in a variety of sports as a participant, coach, manager, volunteer and parent. Michelle is responsible for coordinating events, club and member administration and communications. Before to joining Queensland Canoeing, Michelle worked in an event management company. Michelle is passionate about grass roots engagement in sports and the myriad of benefits it brings for children. She enjoys being a volunteer in a number of different sports. Having joined Queensland Canoeing at the start of 2016, Steven is responsible for managing all Pleasure and Education programs activities. Earlier to joining Queensland Canoeing, Steven ran his own mufti award-winning adventure tourism and outdoor education business in far north Queensland for 20 years. Steven is passionate about paddling and playing in the outdoors, looking after the environment and the benefits it produces. As healthy as man y incredible and hard working instructors, coaches, officials, volunteers and committee members. Get Started Vouchers assists children and young people who can least afford, or may otherwise benefit from, joining a sport or energetic recreation club. Get Going Clubs provides funding to promote local notforprofit sport and pleasure organizations with an one off grant of up to 7,500 towards projects that create and bear access to participation opportunities for members. Get Playing Places and Spaces provides grants of up to 100,00 to help with the development of places and spaces so Queen slanders are encouraged to become involved in the sport and active recreation activity of their choice. Some clubs present their members coaching, training in squads, group trips and social paddles in a range of disciplines. Some clubs donate storage of private craft for a medium fee. Maximum clubs present a Reach and Try program for Trial Canoeist so you can test the waters prior committing to a full club membership. This is a buy sell space for clubs and members to utilize to advertise the sale of any secondhand canoe kayak craft.
