Women from all walks of life are members of the QC WA and they unite for a variety of reasons. The QC WA means something diverse to everyone and that’s the way we like it. Since 1922, the QC WA has been about women from all over Queensland tomorrow together for many reasons, whether it is about meeting new people, making new friends, learning fresh skills or getting involved in the community. Whatever the reason, it is friendship and the overall desire to help others that has banded the women of this organization together. In appropriate times and in bad, for nearly 100 years, the QC WA has been there for communities around Queensland. From the unpretentious beginnings of providing an organization for women to overcome the loneliness and worry of isolation it is now a society providing friendship and encourage to women across the world. Throughout the years women across Queensland have banded together to share in a history occupied with love, concern and of course we can’t forget our tea and scones. In our Association we are a vast sisterhood of women and a democratic one, putting aside petty difficulties of position, assets and pride. We are out to be a mutual assist to one another, the town to the country and the country to the town and there is sufficient of room for improvement in this way. The QC WA is affiliated with the Associated Country Women of the World (AC WW), an international organization that works in partnership with its members, offering mutual support, friendship and possible aid to women and communities around the world. AC WW has over 460 member societies energetic in over 70 countries.
