The Mental Health Association LLD envisages a community where optimal mental health and well being is encouraged and supported, resulting in strengthened community resilience, and enhanced holistic health of all Australians. We aim to promote awareness and understanding of mental health in the community, and to aid people to access relevant and timely information and good services and support. The more we know about ourselves and our communities, the more we can lessen stigma and receive action to improve mental health. Since its inception 53 years ago we have become a major provider in the Mental Health sector promoting awareness, understanding and acceptance of mental health issues in the community by assisting people to access relevant and timely information, support and treatment. Twelve associations and ten private members were affiliated. Premature activities were focused on fund raising for the well being of patients at Wolston Park Hospital. The role of Friendship House is to focus on the activity and concerns of the elective sector, and yield a home for the optional agencies. It is now demonstrable that mentally ill people need a community for their healing and rehabilitation. 2011 MHAQ and acct merged with Drug ARM Australasia on 1 July 2011, bringing together three agencies lower the Drug Awareness and Relief Base (Australia) DARFA, to form one specialist group committed to providing quality protection and promote for people presenting with complicated needs.
