In those days it was the only place in town to stock the Peugeot, Gitane and Raleigh bikes which were the first of the exotic brands to replace the local brands such as Malvern Star and Rep co. Mechanic Lionel Summers has 27 years experience as a bike mechanic and in fact was the very first official apprentice bicycle mechanic. An experienced mountain bike rider and enthusiast, he takes over from long standing and very respected Blair Stockwell MB who has been a legend of the cycling world both here in Australia and Fresh Zealand. Blair has been an Olympian, 3 Times Commonwealth games medalist, 3 times winner of the Dulux tour of Fresh Zealand, Coach to the Australian road cycling team and he was awarded an MB for his services to cycling. Blair's extensive knowledge of bike fitting is tranquil utilized for our clients ensuring you get your riding position set up millimeter perfect.
