Dolce Musica Harp & Violin Duo. Brisbane musicians Dolce Musica Harp and Violin Duo have been providing music for wedding ceremonies, private functions, corporate functions, pre-dinner drinks, wedding receptions, and other events in Brisbane and the surrounding areas of Ipswich and the Gold Coast since 1998. Our musicians, (who also plays as a solo harpist under the name “Siobhan”), violinist Dianne and Harpist Joan, have many years of both performing and teaching experience. As well as Classical and Popular music, Celtic and Medieval music, Jigs and Reels, Japanese etc, Greek, Russian, Spanish, Welsh, Scottish, Ethnic– which include Irish, Gershwin, music from Stage and Film, Dolce Musica’s extensive repertoire also includes Wedding music, Funeral music and Christmas music. Our instruments, style and choice of music gives a more romantic feel to our sound. What we play may best be described as “popular classics” and “classical pops”. Our instrumental combination is particularly suited to the lighter classical pieces that are more well-known. Unlike the traditional String Quartet, Dolce Musica Harp and Violin Duo is able to provide a different sound and feel to the various styles of music.
