What began as three trucks is now a full fleet, operating Australia wide to continued acclaim. In 1971, the business was handed over to Roy’s son, Philip Russell, who has managed it ever since, expanding Russell Transport Pt Ltd in the logistics and moveable crane service sectors. In 1967, the business was purchased by Roy Russell, and began trading as MetroLift Cranes in 1991. Since then, MetroLift Cranes has grown steadily.

When the business beginning launched, our initial contract concerned the distribution of motor spirit for Dalgety Co, who had just been appointed the Queensland agent for the Commonwealth Oil Refineries. By 1930, our fleet had expanded to include three trucks, based in a warehouse on Fresh Farm Wharf. Further expansion over the after 20 years saw our fleet grow to 12 trucks, with our cargo including wool as well as motor spirit. As the business continued to flourish, we purchased land in Macquarie Street, Fresh Farm, constructing a specialized workshop to service our fleet. At the age of 70, Roy passed the daily running of the business to his son, Philip, although he continued to produce valued advice and assistance healthy into his 80s. Since the 1970s, Russell Transport has continually thrived, branching out into new areas like mobile crane hire. We also now hold a number of industrial properties in South East Queensland, while the clever site at Eagle Farm has been expanded to include adjoining properties, and is quiet impaired as the Russell Group's head office. You must pay Us (or the suitable third party directly) for any variation in the cost of Outer Components, even if this changes the Price. (10) Goods means the cargo and its packaging in respect of which We yield or are requested to produce Services. (22) Stable Site Access means steadfast and safe access, at all relevant times, by the type of vehicle which is necessary to transport the Goods (having regard to the height, width, weight and load characteristics of the relevant vehicle and of the Goods) to each site where the Goods are to be collected, and to each site where the Goods are to be delivered. Scope means the steps which METROLIFT will receive for the direr in relation to Services, as described in the Quote (if relevant). The direr must pay the Price to METROLIFT for hire of the Plant and Equipment. In addition and without limiting the direr’s obligation to pay interest, the direr also indemnifies METROLIFT from and against all costs and expenses (including commissions payable to debt recovery agents and legal costs on a stuffed indemnity basis) which may be incurred by METROLIFT in recovering amounts from the direr which continue unpaid after the due date, or in recovering the Plant and Equipment. If the direr requires one of the direr’s representatives to be offer at the time of opening of the packaging of the Items, then the direr must specifically inform METROLIFT of that requirement, and the direr must also make the direr’s representative available promptly, at any pertinent deposit and at a time and in a manner which does not cause METROLIFT expense or delay. If there is a Breakdown in relation to the Plant and Equipment, or if the Plant and Equipment is not available for use by the direr during portion or all of the Term for any reason, then there is no obligation on METROLIFT to supply the direr wit
