Christian schools provide comprehensively for the educational and spiritual development of their students. BSA describes its purpose, vision and current priorities in a diagram. Every student is made in the image of God. Therefore the unique needs of every child are the primary protection of a Christian school. The Christian life, is a life lived in communion with God and others. The development of students in a Christian school takes place in community. They are communities in which Biblical faith, values and beliefs are formative for the school community and integrated into curriculum, practice and culture. Christian schools are communities of grace, belief and practice. Christian school students learn to find their purpose in following Jesus' example, using their gifts to serve others. Others are associated with and supported by members from a number of churches in their local area. In addition, maximum BSA schools also attract meaningful enrollments from families who, while not currently attending a Christian church, nonetheless deliberately choose the school because they desire for their children an education that is based upon Christian beliefs and values. A number of lists are available with diverse purposes. The purpose of Christian school education is the educational and spiritual development of each individual child. Spiritual formation is an essential component of a Christian school education. Our purpose (the big why’ of Christian education) is to see students find their life’s purpose in Christ. Christian schools are nurturing communities of parents, churches, teachers, other staff and community members. The life of the Christian school community is centered on Jesus. In a Christian school education, the development of the total person includes spiritual development. The hope of a Christian school is that students will find their purpose in Christ, in response committing to worship and serve Him. A BSA school, as depicted in our diagram, will also endeavor to be a model to others of Christian community. The third panel depicts the stylish strategic priorities for the organizational wing of BSA: that is, the State and National Councils and Executive Officers who serve member schools. BSA is committed to the spiritual and professional growth of staff in member schools. An essential priority is to urge growth in the knowledge and understanding of Biblical principles and Christian beliefs as they apply to the practice of teaching and school leadership: in other words, the integration of Biblical principles with school education. BSA's priorities encourage the work of school communities, whose actions in turn are focused on the student who, under Christ, is formed and educated to serve.
