Maximum alley reels use what is commonly known as a side cast fishing action which means the reel is turned sideways to cast. The outbreak of World War II prevented the production of fishing reels as the factory equipment was utilized in the war effort. Increased demand for larger reels made it necessary to replace Camphor Laurel which had an inconsistent grain, with the finer grained Cedar. It soon replaced other timbers in all sizes of reels. With the acquisition of numerous 100 ton compression boulders, spools could be manufactured from Phenolic Resin and fiberglass. The factory was relocated to the give site at Carole Park. Another injection Gould was developed for Graphite backs to suit the 6 diameter spools. A lever drag clutch set up was produced made available as an alternative to the conventional star drag on a number of models. I’m serious about my fishing and when I hook a tournament winner I need a fishing reel that won’t let me down, especially after being exposed to sand and saltwater! In my opinion, alley Reels are the only fishing reels that should go anywhere near the beach. From one fisherman to another, if you are looking for a reel that can resist any saltwater condition and is extremely reliable when you line is stiff with a trophy fish, look no further than the alley Reel. This has led to a very different range of manufacturing skills and equipment under one roof. This also allows us to monitor quality and honest in time deliveries of our components. We take in raw materials at one end of the plant and ship out finished products from the other end. Our waste water is also treated onside to a level that has no effect on the environment when put down the sewer. We specialize in molding engineering grade plastics and we do not obey concise runs manual molding with inserts. We make our own range of little threaded inserts for molding into plastic products where a metal thread is required as well as nuts, bolts, spindles, other metal components. We also manufacture insignificant metal components for outer customers in various industries. Our tumblers and vibrators are ideal for polishing bright edges of metal stamping in preparation for plating or as a finished product on stainless steel items. Trivial components are plated using a rotating barrel system in the nickel vat with hundreds of components being plated at once. Sheet Brass and Stainless Steel are punched, bent, formed and riveted to provide many of the components to manufacture our range of products. Behind welding these are pickled to unfasten the welding burns and then using particular copper jigs and up to 700 amps of electricity they are elector polished in a notable solution. Our Stainless Steel customary back plates are punched and rolled then spot welded together for greatest strength. The Deck Winch frames and various mounting systems are fabricated in house from quality Stainless Steel materials.

Full backs of Cast Gunmetal were now machined, as were brass spindles and nuts. Marine grade Maple Bond wood was used for the larger boat reels up to 12 diameter spools. With the acquisition of several 100 ton compression boulders, spools could be manufactured from Phenolic Resin and fiberglass. A fresh material combine of Polyester and Fiberglass replaced the use of cedar. The factory was relocated to the give site at Carole Park. Another injection Gould was developed for Graphite backs to suit the 6 diameter spools. A lever drag clutch set up was produced made available as an alternative to the conventional star drag on a number of models. A fully vented blue water saltwater fly reel was added to the range in two models to replace the former metal back series.
