Developed and funded by the ANZIIF Corporate Supporter program, Careers in Insurance aims to inspire young people, career changers and other members of the community to see the diverse, hard and rewarding opportunities the insurance industry has to offer. What does the Careers in Insurance program include? Professionals from all areas of the insurance and financial services industry, including: ANZIIF offers a range of customisable corporate education services to face the needs of companies in the insurance and financial services industry. It deals with all matters on which a decision is required in the interests of ANZIIF and its members. With a background in product development and distribution, corporate strategy and portfolio management, Allan has more than 40 years of industry experience in general insurance. Daniel is a Board member of ANZIIF and is passionate about developing and attracting talent to our industry. Michelle has had a variety of roles in learning over the end 10 years and is currently the Learning Program Manager for Nero NZ, where she is responsible for managing the learning budget and the delivery of learning and compliance training across Nero NZ. In 2006 she was promoted to Group Training and Compliance Manager’. An experienced Executive leader specializing in the General insurance industry, Simone has over 15 years’ experience in Insurance and eight years management consulting experience in both Australia and UK, delivering a variety of strategy and business consulting engagements. Prior to this role, he was Head of Learning at Westpac Group Peter has extensive learning and HR experience in senior roles in the financial services industry, including retail banking, corporate banking, prosperity management and in the general insurance industry. At university he was involved in the running of a student mentor program something he is quite keen to remain in the Industry. The Fresh Zealand Member Advisory Board (NZ AB) comprises experienced members of the Fresh Zealand insurance and finance industry who yield support and guidance to ANZIIF on matters relating to the industry in the region. Jill has 25 years experience in the insurance, booking and risk management industry. His experience includes underwriting and risk management, reinsurance, sales, broker relationship management and marketing. Peter heads up the insurance team in Wellington and is piece of the Fresh Zealand claims team. Over the previous 30 years has had extensive experience in the media, government, public relations and market research sectors. He has over 25 years of practical experience in general insurance, and had worked in various capacities like strategic planning, underwriting, claims, reinsurance, product development, technical training, legal compliance and information technology in a number of leading composite insurers and insurance booking organizations, both in Cong Kong and China.
