Throughout our history, Brisbane Arts theater has served as the gateway to performing arts careers, not just for those on stage, but also for those behind the scenes. The list of legends of stage and screen who began their journey on the Arts theater's stage is vast. In 2017, our theater company will provide four seasons: a diverse main house season, a season of our iconic children's theater, a touring season and a notable early week parody season. We also donate nationally recognized, fully accredited training in theater technical operations, in addition to structured acting workshops for both adults and youth. The Arts theater has been a training ground for many performers who have gone on to professional careers, including Jennifer Flowers, Carol Burns, Shane Porteous, Bernard King and many others, while our children's theater division has offered many young people a chance to perform on stage earlier they attend university or step into the world of professional theater.

It's a bold, speedy, irreverent romp through all 37 of Shakespeare's plays but without the language barriers or the period hurdles, as three brave actors receive on over 100 characters. Our Certificate II in Live Production Services (CUA30415) is designed for those who want to labor in either the technical areas of theater, or front of house. Technicians perform a range of tasks in areas such as lighting, audio, and staging, and vision systems. This course is one year fulltime, or two years part-time. This once weekly session will aid you to flourish skills to enhance your public speaking and communication skills. By the completion of a stuffed year of our level two workshops, students have a mighty grip on acting techniques, voice (including singing solo, chorus and harmonies), dance training, rehearsal processes performance. You'll also have the opportunity to reward your team with complimentary tickets, or perhaps an exclusive performance, with the total place to yourselves. Brisbane Arts theater offers an unparalleled number of opportunities for performers and technicians throughout our theater company's annual season of works. New Stock is Brisbane Arts theater's youth development programmed, offering distinguished opportunities for young emerging artists. Potential New Stock members are identified through the performance ensemble audition process or from an existing commitment to our children's theater seasons. Members of New Stock benefits from extensive development opportunities, including oneonone mentoring from Brisbane Arts theater's Artistic Director through a yearlong performance development programmed and pertinent placements that match their key developing skill sets as supporting performers in our main house seasons, or as clever personnel in our children's theater seasons. Tech Stock is Brisbane Arts theater's group of technicians, who are our sound lighting designers operators, audio engineers and stage managers in our main house seasons. Unfold auditions are held throughout the year for roles on stage in each children's theater production, while applications for volunteer roles in technical production are originate all year round. Our children's theater stage managers head up their production team and run the show. It's up to you as to how many shows you commit to in a year. Volunteer positions are primarily available within our children's theater productions, with some opportunities within our main stage productions.
