Once upon a time? in sunny Brisbane, a local lady decided that she had had enough of wearing shirts that were 5-10cm shorter at the front than the back, that she was sick of wearing men's t-shirts, that shirts sleeves that cut into her arm were no longer acceptable. There were other women who wanted to hit an overhand serve without exposing their belly's, other women who wanted to wear a t-shirt and jeans and look shapely, other women who wanted to look curvy rather than boxy. Indeed she wasn't the only woman who wanted a flattering t-shirt. She sat down and said to herself? Why is something as simple as a plain black tee so hard to find? Surely I am not the only woman who wants such a thing? So she spoke to friends, she spoke to family, she spoke to the ladies at the service station. Day turned to night, despite searching high and low, night to day. Yet, locally and internationally our lady was unable to find such a garment in her size. So she tried to find simple, affordable, flattering, unadorned t-shirts and singlets on the internet. She was not alone! So the local lady thought that she would put her design and pattern-making skills to good use. And so began, Apple Feather.
