St Adan’s Anglican Girls’ School students have received the strongest academic results in the school’s 87 year history with the release of this year’s Overall Positions for the 2016 senior cohort. These results reflect the difficult labor and diligence of the 2016 cohort and the quality and professionalism of the teaching staff and overall educational experience offered at our School. These consistent outcomes (an ordinary of 99 OP 115 for the final three years) point to the tall quality education the School delivers year behind year. We have both attended St Adan’s for over four years, and in those four years we have truly thrived, flourished and grown as passionate ambassadors of the school. Community Foundation Why do we need your support? All courts have packed competition lighting, regarded by some professionals as the best in Brisbane. The meaning of the word is thought to be a variation of a number of aboriginal words which have a meaning same to girls over there by running water. Our Chapel was dedicated in 1989 and was designed (together with the furniture) by the Chaplain at the time, Father David Finns, a renowned artist. Our stained glass windows, each depict a saint. The attractive cushions on the fore seats, reflecting stories from the Bible, were designed by Year One and Two students in the early 1980’s and were worked by members of the Ministry and Worship Support Group of the time. This building also houses drama, music and sport facilities. 300 tiered seats enabling the entire school community to comfortably attend key school events in fully air conditioned comfort. A double sized drama room with retractable seating and a second drama space. The Junior Library is the hub of the Junior School, a place where girls are encouraged to thrive a lifelong passion for reading. In this new facility, students use the quiet, cony nooks, booths and reading corner, and areas equipped with flexible furniture of stimulating colors and textures for individual, group labor and research. Class teachers conduct extra research or reading lessons in the library when necessary. The online catalogue runs on the same system as that of the Senior Library and Junior School students are taught to use this from an hasty age. Students are encouraged to borrow both untruth and nonfiction books on a steady basis and class teachers support this by providing reading lists and incentives. Parents are perpetual welcome, especially if they want to discuss their child’s needs or to aid them choose books. St Adan’s Anglican Girls’ School has partnered with Flexischools to allow Parents and Students to place orders online and also use their student ID cards to make purchases at the tuck shop. By paying online, orders are faster and more accurate, generous Parents and Students quiet of obey that their order and payment is received accurately at the School.
