Brisbane Marine Pilots is a leading port pilot age service provider committed to Brisbane and supporting ports throughout Queensland. We train and supply marine pilots to help ships visiting the Port of Brisbane. Our pilots board arriving vessels off Mooloolaba and partner with the ships crews to manage the risks associated with manoeuvring these large vessels in the Port area. The needed company infrastructure and supporting services for the efficient supply of these pilots are provided by EMPILOT. Brisbane Marine Pilots was officially established as an independent organization in 1989. Be the only organization with proven systems uniquely developed for Brisbane. The role of or Pilots is to manage risk in a highly dynamic environment. Every pilot must continue to demonstrate these skills and compliance to the established safety systems throughout their careers. Our pilots are dedicated to safety and committed to ensuring knowledge is captured in our systems. He has an interest in continuing professional development and is the facilitator of our Risk Management Team. EMPILOT offers a range of urge services, technology and systems to pilot groups and to entities responsible for the provision of pilot age services. Brisbane Marine Pilots provides the following services: Continual improvement and oversight of the systems that facilitate the safe navigation of large vessels in the Port of Brisbane and Morton Bay Marine Park. Logistical oversight, management and regular improvement of systems that ensure the right Pilot, is on the correct ship, at the right time. We have processes in place to educate fresh Directors about the business, appropriate governance and performance expectations. Each member of the Governance Team of Brisbane Marine Pilots must undertake a training process to equip with them with a safe understanding of their responsibilities lower Corporations Law. In 2014 he was appointed as Managing Director. He then worked as a pilot overseas in the offshore oil and gas industry. Goff was first elected to the Board in 2008 serves as Company Chairman and HR Director until 2012 and completing his initial tenure in 2013. Goff’s other roles include in industry peer support, check pilot and training officer. He is also a member and energetic supporter of considerable industry institutions. Jennifer was appointed to the Board in 2016. Jennifer now has a portfolio career in which she maintains a governance consulting practice together with a number of company director roles.
